Oshawa, Ontario. (2017 - present)

March 30th, 2019.

On November 26th 2018, General Motors announced their plan to close Oshawa’s car assembly plant. With an automotive manufacturing history spanning over 100 years in the town, the legacy and auto enthusiast energy lives on. However, as this potential closure approaches, tension in Oshawa grows alongside a divide between the transitioning north end, and struggling south. Once again, this resilient town is tested with a continued cycle of challenge and change. This work is an ongoing project exploring my hometown of Oshawa, with a focus on it’s automotive scene and industry.
